Commodore Amiga platform
Scoopex (SCX), founded in 1988, was a very productive group and also a very large group. Originated in Austria with branches – subgroups – in Sweden, Finland and France (PC).
Until today, I wasn’t aware that groups had subgroups. What I do remember, is group members join one group just to leave and join another group. And groups becoming other groups – real life drama.
Just for fun, try looking up different Amiga demogroups, and read their history (DemoZoo). This is like a modern Reality TV show.

The Musician
One of the things that I remember best from all the intro’s & demo’s by Scoopex in the 90’s, was the music. I believe that Uncle Tom was the primary musician for Scoopex and he – and they – were very productive.
In the beginning, Uncle Tom’s music was rather funny and very experimental, but he got way better with time, and has made many very cool tracks.

The “Uncle Tom Sonix” musicdisc from 2012 (below) was a bit of a struggle to get online. The source files was in the old Aegis Sonix SMUS file format, and they were only named 0-9, and I couldn’t find any online playlist with music, besides the demo, and that doesn’t help a bit, as this only contains 3 of the songs in the YouTube video.

Luckily, the track name was within each SMUS song file, so it was a simple copy-paste process here. But, my song title a slightly different from the ones I’ve seen online, and track 8 is listed as “Thalamusic” where the SMUS files says “Rende-Vous” by Jean-Michel Jarre and it sounds like that.
Today
Scoopex is still very active on the Commodore Amiga, with a couple of productions back in 2019 and a demo on the ZX Spectrum!
Logos
One thing that’s really “Scoopex“, is their vast amount of logos, both then but certainly also now.
