Xbox Original, part II

Not everything goes as you plan!

This was supposed to be the last part of my Xbox repair series, but I’ve realized that before I can do anything on the Xbox, I need to know what to do.

Looking at the mainboard and at the power supply board, I found out that not all capacitors used, is in my stash.

When in doubt – Make a list

Process

I found a complete list of capacitors on GamingDoc, but as everything in life – VERIFY.

As I vent over the list and photo on the website, there were some minor discrepancies, that wasn’t that big of a deal as both capacitor types are in my stock, but I do HATE incorrect information.

Main board

For now, below is my updated list. When I remove each capacitor from my Xbox I will compare it to the list and update it as I go along.

The power supply

Below is the capacitor list for the power supply. Not all capacitor ID’s are visible on my board, so this will have to wait until the old capacitors are removed and the ID’s then are revealed – hopefully.

All non stock capacitors are on the way in the mail, so now all I have to do is wait.
