Take a trip back in time, and listen to some of the work of Shigeru Fukutake.
First time I saw Track & Field (or Hyper Olympic) was on the MSX home computer. The game was one a cartridge, that seemed totally science fiction for me, as I’d, at the time, only had seen the games loaded from the standard cassette tape.
The cartridge was phenomenal, just plug it into the slot, turn on the computer and the game was ready to play.
Game music from ‘Track & Field‘. Game made by Konami and was released in 1983 by Konami.
It might be far fetched to call this “music”, in the normal sense, as this is more like small jingles, but back then they did what they had to do – Get ready!
