This is the Smartsound Stereosampler for the Amiga 500 and Amiga 2000, in its original box.

This may be the stereo sampler that was manufactured by BMP-Data. Made in Denmark.

I got this sampler from Peter Jensen, another Amiga enthusiast, whom, besides work, also runs the website FUP (Foreningen til Udryddelse af PC’ere), translated into English; The Society for the Eradication of Personal Computers.

The box reads:

“Converts your Amiga Computer into a high quality sound studio with stunning features”

I’m sure that by the home computer sound standard back in the 1980’s, it was somewhat true. But regardless of the this, the Amiga sound was – and still is – terrible.
